Sony HDFX-200 HD Triax Adaptor

The HDFX-200 is an external converter box that allows the transmission of digital camera signals from the HDC-2400/2500/2550 system camera to the HDCU-2000/2500 Camera Control Unit (CCU) via conventional triax cable. When the system camera is fitted with the HKC-TR27 digital triax adaptor side cover, the system allowsthe transmission of 1080P or 2xSloMo signals (2x1080i) over triax. The HDFX-200 converts the triax signals to an SMPTE-Fibre cable to be accepted by the CCU.

Specifications:

• High quality digital signal transmission over conventional triax cable: Existing triax infrastructure can be used with no need to install additional cables up to distances of 1,400m. Using the HDFX-200 and HDCU-2000/-2500 Camera Control Unit (CCU), it is possible to extend the reach of the camera system up to a maximum distance of 3,700m between the CCU and the camera.
• Supports wide variety of frame rates: The HDFX-200 supports 1080i, 720P, 2x Slomo1080i/720P HD frame rates, with no limit to the potential frame rates used, future-proofing the investment.
• 2xSloMo speed (1080i or 720P): 2xSloMo signal and normal HDTV signal is available.
• Cable condition information displayed: An optical indicator on the HDFX-200 displays the cable condition information.
• Two connectors on unit allow quick change from fibre to triax: The HDFX-200features two connectors (triax and fibre) so that a quick change to the desired transmission technology is possible without changing the cabling.
