The sound bar uses 16 array speakers controlled by Yamaha's YSP technology plus two powerful 2 1/2” (6.5 cm) woofer units in a large cabinet to deliver excellent sound quality with clearly positioned dialogue and superb surround effects. An aluminum body dampens unwanted vibrations. The result is an expansive sound field that will thrill you with its three-dimensional properties and outstanding imaging.

- Wireless Subwoofer with Advanced YST Technology Reproduce Rich and Powerful Bass: The subwoofer has a large 6 1/2” (16 cm) driver and uses Yamaha's exclusive Advanced YST technology to produce clear, powerful bass. The circuit board has an ideal grounding pattern that ensures stable current supply. The Linear Port improves sound dispersion and is designed to minimize unnecessary noise. Both music and movie sound effects are reproduced with an astounding sense of presence.
- Wireless Streaming with High Sound Quality from iPod/iPhone/iPad or Mac/PC: The optional YIT-W12 Wireless Transmitter, used with the YSP-3300, lets you enjoy music wirelessly from your iPod/iPhone/iPad or Mac/PC. Yamaha-developed yAired technology provides uncompressed linear PCM transmission for consistently clear, accurate sound output.
- Digital Sound Projector Technology Reproduces True Surround Sound: The YSP-3300 achieves actual (not virtual) surround sound by producing beams of sound and using advanced processing to control their directions. You hear real 7.1-channel surround sound with natural ambience and excellent imaging. Yamaha technology also provides the additional benefits of a wide "sweet-spot" listening area and the elimination of listening fatigue.
- HD Audio Format Decoding: The YSP-3300 decodes HD Audio signals to ensure that you hear the best possible sound from Blu-ray Disc players, as well as from all other digital sources.
- 10 CINEMA DSP Programs: Yamaha’s ultra-sophisticated CINEMA DSP technology creates thrillingly realistic soundscapes in any room. You can select 10 different programs, including three "Movie," three "Music" and four "Entertainment" programs.
- Versatile Listening Modes: The YSP-3300 achieves true surround sound by directing sound beams off walls to reach the listener from various angles. The main mode is 5 BeamPlus2 for 7-channel sources. In addition, there are a wide variety of other listening modes. You can select Stereo + 3 BeamPlus2, 5 Beam, Stereo + 3 Beam, 3 Beam, Stereo, Target and My Surround.
- IntelliBeam Automatically Sets the Optimum Sound Field: This Yamaha exclusive feature ensures optimum multichannel sound reproduction with accurate image location. By monitoring and analyzing the sound with the microphone included with the YSP-3300, IntelliBeam automatically sets the best beam angles, while optimizing the level and frequency response of each beam. This makes initial setup both extremely simple and acoustically perfect.
- HDMI (4 in/1 out) with 4K Pass-through and 3D: Four HDMI inputs mean you can connect four high quality digital sources, each with just a single cable. The inputs support 4K pass-through, which allows the transmission of next-generation super high-resolution images and the transmission of 3D video.
- Compressed Music Enhancer: When music is encoded into a digitally compressed format like MP3, the frequency response suffers. This function restores what was lost, so your music always sounds the way it should.
- UniVolume Maintains the Same Volume Level: This welcome feature, made possible by Yamaha-developed technology, maintains a consistent volume level between different channels, programs, commercials and input sources. It can be switched on and off.
- Easy Positioning in Front of a TV: Only 3 3/8” (86 mm) high, the YSP-3300 can easily be placed in front of your TV without blocking the screen. The height can be adjusted in two levels by adding included spacers. It is also wall mountable with optional brackets.
- Design Conveys Luxury and Sophistication: The top surface of the sound bar is made of rigid aluminum with an elegant, brushed-metal finish, for a look that is stylish and imparts a strong feel of luxury. The sides have a mirror finish that harmonizes beautifully with flat-panel TVs.
- Wireless Active Subwoofer Allows Flexible Placement: This subwoofer eliminates the need to connect cables, so setup is faster and easier. It can be used in either a horizontal or a vertical position, providing additional flexibility. This is a convenient subwoofer that delivers powerful, high-quality bass sound.
- HDMI CEC Functionality: When connected to a CEC-compatible TV, the YSP-3300 will turn on and off together with the TV and you can use the TV remote unit to control the volume. CEC also provides advanced functionality with other components.
- TV Remote Repeater for Signal Transmission - Even if the YSP-3300 blocks the TV’s remote control signal, the TV Remote Repeater on the rear transmits the signal to the TV so operation is not affected.
- Memory Function for Recording Up to Three of Your Favorite Settings - You can store three groups of settings for quick recall. Settings include playback mode, CINEMA DSP mode and IntelliBeam measurement results.
- ECO Mode for Energy Conservation - When enabled, the display turns off and the unit enters a standby mode under certain conditions, such as when a signal is not received for 30 minutes.
