Canare's true 75Ohm BCP connectors have been widely used in a number of video formats analog to digital with outstanding electrical and mechanical performance. Exceeding 3.0Gbps HD-SDI requirements specified in SMPTE424M.

Features:

  • High performance of 1.1 or less VSWR up to 3GHz
  • Position mark on body allows the connector fit to be checked easily
  • Connector body only has been made die-cast, achieving lower price with high performance
  • Use of crimping to attach the connectors ensures quick, reliable installation
  • Lock mechanism used on insulation improves reliability by preventing shifting or detaching of the contact pin
  • Gold plating on the contact pin prevents deterioration, even after years of use
  • Elongated body design enables easy attachment and removal

So far I'm not too impressed with these connectors. I bought them because they were recommended by a good video technician on YouTube as being "the best." Instead of arriving in a nice box with all the connectors separated, everything was just shoved in a bag. I didn't like that. In addition, the tips for the core do not fit properly in my standard crimper [bought specifically for these types of connectors (BNC RG6)], and the sleeves don't always grip properly.
