Product Overview

Choose a mic that's ideal for speech, theater, orchestra, and choir applications.

Designed as a hanging microphone from Audio-Technica, the U853R cardioid condenser mic is equipped with an interchangeable UE-C cardioid (120°) mic element, offering a consistent cardioid polar pattern for the reproduction of natural sound from any angle, and superior gain before feedback. Other available interchangeable elements (sold separately) provide hypercardioid, omnidirectional and UniLine® line-cardioid polar patterns. It features UniGuard® innovations that offer unsurpassed immunity from radio frequency interference (RFI). A great mic for an array of applications, it's phantom-powered, and comes with an integral 80Hz low-cut UniSteep® filter for reduced pickup of low-frequency (LF) ambient noise.

Comes in black, although a white version is available: U853RW - sold separately.

Great middle of the line choir mic. I have two of them that work great on a medium sized stage.
