Product Overview

A cleanly directional condenser microphone, the SR30 delivers an accurate, uncolored and natural sounding representation of the sound source toward which you point it. At 6 inches long, it maintains practically all of the "being there" quality of Earthworks' omnis. Its on-axis performance is smooth and open. Its sonic timbre is uniform across the entire front pick-up hemisphere. What you point it toward is what you'll hear...and not much else.

On-axis, its frequency response is flat from 30 Hz to 30 kHz at 15cm; closer, there's a little more bass, at ambient distances there's a little less. Its impulse response is fast and smooth, it'll handle quite hot signals, and it has very low handling pickup. For recording applications its superb sound quality and uncolored directionality are invaluable.

Offering superior performance for a wide variety of real world sources, especially guitar, sax, flute, drums and voice, concert tapers seem to love it. It's rugged enough for high-quality sound reinforcement, because there are no peaks to encourage feedback and the rear rejection is unusually good. The SR30 is powerful for broadcast and vocal production applications as well, where its lifelike clarity and detail enhance communication through realism.

Includes MC1 microphone clip.

I have been using Earthworks SR77s TC30s and Sr30s since approx. 2000. Many great characteristics about the mics. I personally own 12 of their mics I have a couple that now have a buzz! I want to send them in for repair...NO WAY Earthworks has a 10 year warranty, and the mics are made in such a way (everything is glued inside) that they can't be repaired!!!! They offered to sell me one at a small discount, NO WAY No more Earthworks for me!! Shure and all other mics can be fixed. NOT EARTHWORKS!
