Product Overview
Reinvented by popular demand in today's pro-audio industry, the AT4060a is a true jewel of Audio-Technica in the '90s. This cardioid-pattern vacuum-tube condenser mic brings the warmth of vintage tube sound to every shade of the audio spectrum. With a dynamic range far exceeding that of other tube microphones, it just as easily captures the subtlest nuances of vocal and instrumental performance as it can handle screaming guitar cabinets along with other extreme SPL (sound pressure level) environments. It features hand-selected, individually tested and aged tubes to achieve the coveted, classic sound of valve design — but with no compromise in the specification standards required for the most demanding recording situations.
Audio-Technica takes no chances with this mic’s dependability and consistency: every AT4060 is individually tested and inspected for 100% quality assurance — a rare thing in today’s world of mass-marketed studio microphones.
