Product Overview

The AT4047/SV. Another quality microphone model in the venerable line of studio artists' dreams come true: the 40 Series from Audio-Technica.

The rich, warm sound of this superb microphone harkens back to the classic F.E.T. (field-effect transistor) studio mics. But don't be fooled — there’s nothing remotely old-fashioned about the technology behind the vintage sound. The AT4047/SV is a studio condenser mic whose dual-diaphragm capsule design maintains the precise definition of its polar pattern all across the full frequency range. The versatile mic's wide dynamic range, exceptionally low self-noise and high sound pressure level (SPL)-handling capability enables it to excel on a wide range of audio capture applications.

Applications

Vocals • Strings • Acoustic guitar • Instrument ensembles • Small vocal groups • Voiceovers • Critical studio, live sound and broadcast applications

Includes

  • AT4047/SV microphone
  • AT8449/SV shock mount for ⅝"-27 threaded stands
  • Microphone dust cover
  • Protective carrying case

Feature

  • Transformer-coupled output and specially-tuned element provide sonic characteristics reminiscent of early F.E.T. studio microphone designs
  • Exceptionally low self-noise, wide dynamic range and high SPL capability
  • Dual-diaphragm capsule design maintains precise polar pattern definition across the full frequency range of the microphone
  • Precision-machined, nickel-plated brass, acoustic element baffle provides enhanced element stability and optimal sensitivity
  • Vintage silver-matte finish on microphone and shock mount
  • Open acoustical environment of the symmetrical housing assembly minimizes unwanted internal reflections
  • State-of-the-art surface-mount electronics ensure compliance with A-T's stringent consistency and reliability standards
