Gefen's EXT-DVI-1500HD allows a single link video signal to be extended over long distances (up to 1640 feet/500 meters) by using multi-mode LC-LC fiber optic cable.  The use of fiber optic cabling protects the video signal from electromagnetic interference (EMI) and carries video signals over long distances that would not be possible with regular CAT5 extension.

The DVI-1500S sender unit connects to your computer, cable box or DVD player (with the supplied cables).  The DVI-1500R receive unit connects to your DVI display (up to 1640 feet away, 330 feet with HDCP).  One CAT-5 cable and a 4-strand multi-mode LC to LC fiber-optic cable connects the DVI-1500S to the DVI-1500R.
