All-in-one Camera and Server Solution, Two-Way Audio Capable
The VB-C50FSi is the fast, simple, affordable network video solution you've been looking for. With a Web server and FTP server built right in, the VB-C50FSi can transmit video images directly to your PC. You simply connect your camera to your computer through the Web or your LAN and, in minutes, you're viewing still or full motion video. There's also the built-in network server that provides viewing for up to 50 clients simultaneously. With such performance, the VB-C50FSi is a versatile and affordable solution for your security video needs.

The VB-C50FSi offers audio capability when the optional VB-EX50 Multi-Terminal Module is added. With the module a microphone can be connected to the camera, allowing remote monitoring of audio at the camera site. Admin Viewer or Viewer for PC and a speaker-equipped PC allows you to hear audio with the captured video images. Audio playback also lets the remote user or a pre-recorded audio file be heard at the monitored location through a powered speaker. Playback can also be linked to motion or sensor triggered events.

Unmatched Zoom Range Gives Unmatched Coverage
The VB-C50FSi works in virtually all your locations because of its impressive zoom range. The camera's 26X optical zoom lens boasts the industry's widest focal length range. Combine that with a 12X digital zoom, and you've got a camera that gives wide coverage and can also zoom in to show you important detail.

Performance Under the Most Demanding Lighting Conditions
If you need a camera for an extreme, low light situation, the VB-C50FSi is for you. At a shutter speed of 1/30th second, the VB-C50FSi performs with as little as 1 Lux of illumination. And, when there's even less light or no light at all, the camera's Infrared Night Mode with built-in Infrared light feature lets you see what's going on -- up to 9.8' away.

Resolution Flexibility
The VB-C50FSi broadcasts three different resolutions simultaneously and lets you choose the one that suits your needs. For example, if you have a slower connection or wish to view images through your video-enabled cell phone, you can select a lower resolution image. If your network can accommodate larger file sizes, you can select higher resolution images. The range of resolutions include: 160 x 120, 320 x 240, and 640 x 480.

A Compact Camera That Goes Anywhere
The VB-C50FSi is easy to install wherever you need it because it weighs-in at a light 1.1 pounds and measures only 2.61"(w) x 5.28" (d) x 3.82" (h) (66.2 x 134.2 x 97.0 mm). Power over Ethernet (PoE) allows the VB-C50FSi to receive both data and power through a single Ethernet cable. That means that installation in hard-to-reach locations such as rooftops or ceilings is simpler and more affordable than before, as there is no need for additional power cabling.

The Controls You Need
The VB-C50FSi's scheduling function lets you control the operation of your camera. You can tell it when to record, or when to output signals to an external device. You can schedule by week, date, time, motion-detection, and more -- so you capture just what's important to you.

You Set the Schedule
The VB-C50FSi's scheduling function lets you control the operation of your camera. You can tell it when to record, or when to output signals to an external device. You can schedule by week, date, time, motion-detection, and more - so you capture just what's important to you.

Detect Your Subject Automatically
With the VB-C50FSi, you can enable motion detection in four areas (within the camera's field of view) and set the level of sensitivity, area ratio, and duration of detected movement in each of the four areas. You can even automatically capture images with 15MB of internal memory for storing still images, activated by schedule, motion detection or contact sensor.

Image Quality You'd Expect
With the VB-C50FSi, you don't have to compromise on image quality. As with every Canon camera, you know you'll be getting the performance of Genuine Canon Optics. But, the VB-C50FSi also comes equipped with a 1/4" CCD with 340K effective pixels, giving you an extraordinary level of detail. On top of that, you get features like the backlight controls that let you adjust your exposure. And, the Shade Correction feature which brightens shadows without affecting brighter areas. The result is image quality that meets your critical security requirements.

A Wide Range of Connection Options
The optional VB-EX50 Multi-Terminal Module increases the functionality and versatility of your VB-C50FSi camera by providing connections for Audio In/Out, Video In/Out (BNC), and External Sensor In/Out.

With the Audio In/Out capability, you can connect a microphone to your camera. With a speaker-equipped PC and either Admin Viewer or Viewer for PC, you can then hear audio from the camera site. This feature is useful for customer service monitoring, event webcasting, video conferencing and other applications. Or, you can connect a speaker to the camera. With a microphone connected to your PC, you can then talk to someone at the camera site.

With the Video In connection, you can input an external analog video signal -- for example, from a legacy system camera -- which can then be routed through the VB-C50FSi to your network or the Internet. You can then view the signal from the VB-C50FSi or the external video source. With Video Out, you can connect a monitor and display the camera's video signal. This set up can be used in security situations where you want a subject to know they are being videotaped -- e.g. at a secure entranceway or in a store.

Plus, External Sensor In/Out provides connections for Alarm Out and Sensor In.

With all this flexibility, you can get connected and get the VB-C50FSi working for you right away.

The VB-C50FSi comes with additional features, including:
