Quad position battery charger capable of charging two batteries simultaneously, and two pairs of batteries sequentially. The charge time for 2 batteries is 3.7 hours in normal mode, or 4.7 hours in full mode. Four batteries can be charged in 7.3 hours in normal mode, or 9.3 hours in full mode. The charger provides two LCD displays, one per pair of battery slots, to display important information pertaining to each battery. It can also be used as an AC adaptor for a Sony HDV camcorder, with two separate AC adaptor plugs, one on either side. Each side of the charger can be operated separately, one side charging a pair of batteries, while the other side supplies DC power to a camcorder.
