The DP-990 has an 88-key stereo multi-sampled piano sound with three silver-finish pedals that naturally reproduce every detail just like an acoustic grand piano. It features enhanced song-playback capability via USB host port, audio data (.WAV files) and MIDI files that can be played from USB memory key. You can play along with audio CDs via a USB-CD drive, and the satin black finish will add a luxurious touch to your home decor.
Features:
Authentic Grand-Piano Feel
For the most authentic keyboard feel, the DP-990 is equipped with Roland’s acclaimed PHA II keyboard with Escapement, which yields a heavier touch in the lower range and lighter touch in the upper. It also provides lighter resistance for pianissimo passages and stronger resistance for fortissimo. The escapement architecture of the DP keys reproduces the characteristic “click feel” of a grand piano for the ultimate in realistic performance and expression.
Three Pedals for Authentic Expression
The true-to-life response of the DP-990 doesn’t stop with the keys. Three continuously monitored pedals ensure that your footwork is conveyed accurately as well. When the pedals are pressed, the same subtle changes in sound are reproduced just as an acoustic piano’s damper pedal reacts with the strings. You can also control the breadth of sound by adding gradual pressure on the pedals.
USB Advantage
The DP-990’s USB port opens a world of exciting add-ons and extra functionality. Play along with audio files or Standard MIDI files directly from a USB memory key, or layer pre-recorded music from a commercially available audio CD with your performance by connecting a USB CD drive (optional). Your audience won’t believe how much music is coming from a single instrument.
Twin Piano
Twin Piano is designed for side-by-side lessons or performances with a teacher or duet partner. It enables the keyboard to be split into two parts, each of which covers the same octaves. This makes it easy to see and hear when practicing beside a teacher. In the same way, the left and right pedals can be reassigned to act as damper pedals for either side of the split keyboard.
