*The VIM-MY32S slave card is connected to the master card via a supplied 12 pin high speed Neutrik MiniCon® cable.*
LightViper™ VIM-MY32 MY-cards allow users of Yamaha™ PM5D, M7CL, DM2000, DM1000 and LS9 consoles to interface with the LightViper™ 1832 and 4832 systems using direct digital fiber-optic input to the console. This translates into a neater more compact transport system with fewer parts, fewer connections, less headaches and even quicker set-up and tear down times.
These VIM-MY32 cards can distribute word clock throughout the system similar to using the LightViper™ VIM-1832 and can transport Yamaha RS422 control (with DGL-422 dongles or a 9-pin to 9-pin control cable) to remotely control Yamaha AD8HR mic preamps through a LightViper™ 4832 system, or provide DMX lighting control (using a pair of DMX4 units). The MY-32 cards contain a 24-bit/48k master clock. The VIM-MY32 cards can operate as “master” clock (i.e. sending clock to the console and distributing it to the rest of the system) or as “slave” clock (i.e. accepting external clock from the console and distributing it to the rest of the system). RS422 control in a Yamaha™ LS9 is provided on the back plane of the MY32 card itself. There is no “control output” connector on an LS9. A switch on the slave card chooses between the RJ45, 9-pin or internal control connection.
Using a combination of VIM-MY32M master and VIM-MY32S slave cards allows the user to achieve a variety of configurations as follows:
