Designed to be inserted between incoming cable or antenna sources and television displays, the TAV-20 is a remarkably powerful and affordable way to add custom video character messaging to TV screens, superimposing the characters over incoming cable, off-air programming or local playback from videotape or DVDs.   With supplied TC software, you have the ability to create and store your messages and then schedule time of day or frequency of repeating displays, type and speed of crawl.  You can also schedule video source switching to cut between incoming TV programs and local video playbacks.  These messages and schedule information are created on a PC, but are stored in TAV20, and do not require a PC to be connected once the programing has been accomplished.   When a PC is connected to the TAV-20, it is also possible to type and display personalized messages for instant  insertion announcing  timely information, such as "table ready" or "next foursome to the tee" announcements.

Applications for this system include a wide range of promotional or commercial messaging in business establishments, trade-shows and showrooms, and informational displays in hotels, churches, schools, conference centers, waiting rooms and assisted care facilities.  Because each TAV-20 can be programmed and addressed individually, it is possible to run different messages and different schedules on a number of different televisions simultaneously.   In fact, any location where televisions are employed to entertain or inform the public are potential messaging opportunities using the TAV-20. 

The TC software is included with the product(s), intended to be loaded onto your PC (WIN® 98 or better), this software features a simple user interface that requires only basic Windows familiarity to operate. 

The  TAV-20 is easy to install.  It takes a standard coax "F-connector" input from your cable or antenna systems and provides a coaxial output to feed your TV using the supplied coax patch cable. The TAV-20 connects to your PC's serial port via a standard patch cord (adapter included). You can create your information and then disconnect from the PC or leave it attached for instant communications.
