Fujinon 17x9 BRM hand-held lenses are excellent value, offering high-quality optics with inner focusing, a very short minimum object distance of just 0.9 m, and macro capability within this distance.

The lens features Fujinon's patented Electron Beam Coating improving contrast substantially whilst reducing flare and ghosting to new lower levels. Chromatic aberration has also been reduced to values normally found only in broadcast lenses. A high MTF across the field has been achieved, with increased resolution at the edges and corners. This produces clear, sharp images, and this high optical performance is maintained throughout the zoom range from wide to telephoto. With inner focusing, the rectangular lens hood eliminates ghosting and flare effectively, and front lens-mounted filters remain stationary when focusing.
