The Chrome Tone Amp has six distortion modes for everything from light grit to full shred. Distortion Drive, Type, and Frequency controls allow fine tuning of the distortion tone. The Amp also includes a full featured noise gate, compression and sustain circuits, low cut filters, shelving and parametric EQ, a guitar cabinet simulator (great for direct recording), and a reverb.

• Six distortion modes for light to heavy distortion. Distortion Drive types include various gain staging (Narrow, Wide, and Low), as well as many filter types for manual wah and other special effects
• Fully programmable Gate to remove unwanted signal. Very useful for noise reduction in the signal path, particularly when large amounts of distortion are selected. New in version 1.3, the input section now boasts a full featured pre with more low end and several selectable Pre responses
• Compression and sustain circuits to augment the recorded performance. This section can also increase the overall signal level in the Distortion section
• High pass filtering, shelving and parametric EQ
• Several new cabinet models and direct modes are now available in version 1.3
• Spring reverb

• Chrome Tone Amp - Up to 6 mono (or 2 stereo) channels on a single HD Accel dsp at 48kHz. Up to 3 mono (or 1 stereo) channels on a single HD dsp at 48kHz.
• Chrome Tone Chorus - Up to 14 mono (or 8 stereo) channels on a single HD Accel dsp at 48kHz. Up to 7 mono (or 4 stereo) channels on a single HD dsp at 48kHz.
• Chrome Tone Tremolo - Up to 24 mono (or 14 stereo) channels on a single HD Accel dsp at 48kHz. Up to 12 mono (or 7 stereo) channels on a single HD dsp at 48kHz.
• Chrome Tone Wah - Up to 18 mono (or 10 stereo) channels on a single HD Accel dsp at 48kHz. Up to 9 mono (or 5 stereo) channels on a single HD dsp at 48kHz.
• Chrome Tone Stack - 1 mono or stereo channel on a single HD Accel dsp at 48kHz. 1 mono or channel on a single HD dsp at 48kHz.

Compatibility

• Operating System: Chrome Tone is compatible with both Mac OS 10.4.x and Windows XP.
• Configurations: Chrome Tone is available in TDM, RTAS, and AudioSuite configurations.
• Applications: Pro Toolsâ„¢ 7.x or higher is required for TDM, LE, and M-Powered systems.  Additionally, a Third Party software application that supports the Digidesign TDM, RTAS, or AudioSuite plug-in Standard may be supported.
