Sierra Video Systems 501019

The coaxial cable used in distributing video signals is not a perfect transmission. This is often the case when the interconnect is longer. This will cause hum and unwanted signals to interfere with the correct video wave form.

The preferred method to avoid this problem is to use an differential input at one end of the cable. In this situation, the shield is isolated from ground and the signal is processed differentially.

The 501019 module’s differential input has excellent common mode rejection properties. Two easy-to-use front edge equalization adjustments allow the user to compensate for up to 1,000 feet (300M) of professional video coax cable.
