Unique to the commercial sound industry, these stylish baffle enclosures provide an aesthetic complement to building interiors. Selection includes direction-controlled cylindrical units for surface, suspension or wall-mounting. A bi-directional model for surface mounting is also available. Grilles on all X Series are manufactured of 22 ga. CRS and finished in matte black enamel. Housing exterior finish is offered in satin aluminum and satin white. The interior is coated with sound deadening material and lined with jute to prevent mechanical and acoustical resonance. All X Series mount to standard 4" octagonal E.O. boxes.
Model X44 / X45. Cylindrical baffles are equipped with welded studs for mounting standard 4" (102mm) loudspeakers such as the Atlas Sound Model FC104. Models have one-piece spun .081 aluminum housings. Model X44 may be suspended from or surface mounted to the ceiling with Atlas Sound 435 Series swivel hangers. (See reverse side for details on 435 Series hangers.) The housing for Model X45 is attached to a canopy for bi-directional surface- mount applications. Canopy finish is matte black.
Model X8409 / X8414. These baffle enclosures mount 8" loudspeakers including Atlas Sound C803A, CP802, CF883 and C123. Units are offered in 91/2" and 14" lengths, and were designed for applications where surface/pendant mounting is desired. Use 435 Series suspended hangers for mounting units in high or vaulted ceilings. Both 8" baffle enclosure housings are manufactured of seamless spun aluminum and feature contrasting matte black canopies and regressed grilles.
