DPA Microphones MMC4041

The Type MMC4041 large diaphragm omnidirectional microphone cartridge is a part of our modular microphone system and can be used with both the Modular Microphone Preamplifiers Type MMP4000-S and MMP4000-T. The diaphragm and the housing are both made from stainless steel , which gives the capsule a unique immunity against ambient temperature variations. The precision-made back plate is placed in a quartz insulator for maximum electrical stability and is polarised with 200V via the HMA4000 Microphone Amplifier giving the MMC4041 a unique sensitivity of 90mV/Pa. The frequency response from 10Hz to 20kHz with a 4-6 dB soft boost around 8kHz matches the response of the highly acclaimed Type 4040 Hybrid Microphone. Furthermore, the MMC4041 has an extremely low self noise of typical 6dB(A), as well as an enhanced SPL handling capability of up to 144dB SPL before clipping occurs.
