Kramer's DVI-D dual link cables are designed to carry digital-only signals (24+1 pin). DVI-D is used for direct digital connections between source video (mainly, video cards) and graphics acceptors such as digital/Plasma monitors and video/data projectors. It provides a faster, higher-quality image than analog, due to the nature of the digital format. All video cards initially produce a digital video signal, which is converted into analog at the VGA output. The analog signal travels to the monitor and is re-converted back into a digital signal. DVI-D eliminates the analog conversion process and improves the connection between source and display. The DVI-D dual link cables provide extra bandwidth for maximum clarity and resolution. Our 28 AWG wire cables interconnect digital equipment at distances of up to 20 meters.
