The RCI Model BM-AV is 12 audio, 6 video output, portable "Broadcast Media Mult Box". The unit enables a single line level audio source to feed 12 audio outputs with balanced isolation and enables a single 1V p-p video input to feed 6 video outputs.

The audio input of the BM-AV is designed to operate at a nominal level of +4dBu. The audio outputs provide a nominal level –46dBu. These outputs are highly isolated to prevent trouble in one media member’s cable or equipment from affecting the audio received by the other media members. In addition to the 12 XLR balanced outputs, the unit provides mini phone jacks (also highly isolated) for unbalanced equipment. The video input is designed for a 1V p-p, 75 ohm signal and the video outputs provide a 1V p-p, 75 ohm signal out.

Up to six BM-AV’s may be linked together via the "Input Mult" and "Loop Out" connections, providing up to 72 balanced audio, 24 unbalanced audio, and 36 video outputs. The audio portion of the BM-AV is passive, requiring no power and is maintenance free. The video portion is powered by two 9 volt batteries with two LED indicators provided to monitor battery condition. Additionally, the unit is housed in a rugged ABS attaché case which provides storage space for a microphone and cable or a small mixer.
