The LRS 4 provides a simple interface to end users requiring four predetermined volume levels (may include mute) when used in conjunction with devices equipped with voltage-controlled level inputs. The LRS 4 contains four radio buttons: engaging one button (in, changing to green) causes any of the other three to disengage (out, changing to black). Space is provided next to each button for labeling.
The LRS 4 accepts a two-wire DC voltage input (V+ and ground) and outputs a single voltage (Vout) that is varied depending on the selected LRS 4 button. Thus, four volume levels can be setup during installation: selecting the top button provides the maximum or highest output voltage (~V+) typically the highest volume. Select the second and third buttons for two different installer-programmable lower volumes. The bottom button grounds the output pin thus providing the lowest voltage output typically the muted condition.
The LRS 4 fits in a standard U.S. electrical box with a minimum depth of 2-1/4 inches, and flush covered with a standard Decora plate cover (not included). Consult the Operators Manual of the connected Rane equipment for details on functions.
