Aviom 16/0-Y1

The Y1 card is a digital input module that allows users of Yamaha digital mixers to add the power of Aviom’s A-Net™ protocol to their existing systems, distributing audio via inexpensive Cat-5e cable to the A-16II Personal Mixer**.  No Aviom analog input module is required when using a Y1 card with a Yamaha digital console.

The Y1 card fits into any available expansion slot in the rear of Yamaha’s digital consoles, including:

• 01V96
• 02R96
• DM1000
• DM2000
• PM5D
• PM1D (8-channel mode only)
• M7CL

The Y1 card is also compatible with the Yamaha Digital Mix Engine products (DME64N and DME24N) which are used to expand the capabilities of the Yamaha digital mixer products.

Configuration of an Aviom monitoring system can be done digitally from the Yamaha console’s user interface. Rear-panel DIP switches are provided for stereo link configuration of each channel pair. Mode switches on the Y1 allow the use of the A-Net card with Yamaha digital mixers that support only 8-channel expansion cards (the PM1D is one such mixer).

The Y1 card is also compatible with the A-16R Personal Mixer, the AN-16/o Output Module, and the A-16D and A-16D Pro A-Net Distributors.

As with all Aviom A-Net compatible products, Cat-5e cable lengths of up to 500 feet (150 meters) are possible between devices.
