Kramer VP1608

The Kramer VP-1608 is a high performance 16x8 RGBHV / balanced audio stereo matrix switcher. It is a true matrix switcher, routing any input to any or all outputs simultaneously. There are many updated features in this design, including audio-breakaway, so that audio can be switched independently from video. 15 preset memory locations are provided for quick access to common configurations. In addition, the TAKE button allows the user to place multiple switches in a queue, and then activate them with one touch of this button. For clean transitions when switching between non-genlocked sources, the unit has a "delayed switching" mode ranging from Omsec to 400msec. The VP-1608 includes a unique vertical and horisontal sync - pulse solution. There are several ways to control the VP-1608: via front-panel buttons, via IR remote control, and via RS-232 and RS-485 serial control, through which input and output audio levels may be controlled as well. The machine is dependable, rugged and fits into three vertical spaces (3U) of a standard 19" rack. The VP-1608, with its FLASH memory, allows upgrade to the latest Kramer firmware via Internet download.
