DPA 4099-DC-1-101-U Supercardioid Instrument Microphone with Loud SPL and Universal Mount

Part of DPA Microphones' 4099 series, the 4099-DC-1-101-U is an instrument microphone designed for use with loud SPL sources.

Truly a musician's mic' without equal, this series enables you to achieve the purest reproduction of your instrument. These mics feature a supercardioid polar pattern for superior gain-before-feedback.

Known for their discreet size and elegant design, they come in a lightweight yet rugged and durable housing. The versatile gooseneck provides stable and repeatable positioning. The mic can be easily unclipped and repositioned or moved to another mic stand (or instrument with the proper clip).

The clip lets you attach the 4099 to slim-bodied and unusually-shaped instruments. Its design includes a hook-and-loop fastener strap which allows it to be mounted on instruments of varying sizes and diameters, such as the clarinet, flute, oboe, bassoon, and recorder.

Its fastener strap pulls tight to fit the circumference of the instrument, similar to a wristwatch on your arm. On large diameter instruments, additional fastener straps can be easily added to extend the reach of the clip. It features a revolutionary ‘90°’ system that offers a wide range of mounting options. Detaching the clip from the gooseneck and re-mounting it turned 90°, doubles the number of mic positions.

The standard gooseneck length is 5.5" (140mm) but can be increased with the optional gooseneck extension unit (sold separately), adding another 50% to the length, helping to achieve exactly the sweet spot for the instrument.

A wide range of connection adapters for use with the cable's integral MicroDot connector makes it possible to use DPA miniature microphones with all leading pro wireless systems available plus 48 V Phantom.
