This particular model [4018VL-B-SL1] features a supercardioid polar pattern with an extremely linear frequency response - ideal for audio engineers who prefer to set their own unique impression on the final sound. It comes equipped with an SL1 adapter designed for use with Shure, Sony, or Lectrosonics systems (3rd-party components sold separately), but a noteworthy feature with the series is the ability to swap out both the capsule as well as the adapter, thus making it the most versatile and flexible vocal microphone available on the market (additional capsules and/or adapters sold separately). Plus, its excellent definition delivers high separation and true sound color on stage, equally suitable for PA amplification and recording. Also included is a robust onboard 3-stage pop protection grid for removing unwanted noise.
