The audio-technica ATW-R901a is a System 9 Handheld Microphone/Transmitter unit that features a unidirectional dynamic microphone element plus an AT8456a Quiet-Flex stand clamp. It's made for either expansion or replacement use in System 9 packages.

A 4-channel frequency-agile wireless system, the System 9 is available in handheld, headworn, guitar, lavalier and body-pack configurations (other components and configurations sold separately). The system offers four compatible user-switchable VHF channels (169.505, 170.245, 171.045, and 171.905MHz).
