Sonifex CM-CU21 CommentatorUnit for 2 Commentators, 1 Guest

A streamlined-yet-powerful mixer aimed squarely for use by sportscasters or other Broadcasters for commentary and talkback applications, the Sonifex CM-CU21 comes with sturdy construction and versatile features that make it suitable for use in a wide range of situations. It provides 2 full-featured commentator positions and a third guest position. Alternatively, the guest position can be used as a line-level input. There's an individual output for each position, with 2 additional outputs that can provide a mix of all active commentary channels. It includes an onboard adjustable limiter with a limit indicator located on the main panel, along with a bright 21-segment defeatable LED PPM meter, showing the main output level. Two talkback output channels, each with a built-in limiter, are available to each of the 2 main commentators, and are also linkable for simultaneous operation.

Other features include a wide input gain range as well as switchable phantom power functionality on each commentary position which enables support of an array of microphone types including headset mics, low-output ribbon mics, and high-output phantom-powered mics. Four transformer-balanced return audio inputs plus the commentator inputs are all routed to the headphone monitor controls. These headphone controls allow any monitor input to be adjusted and sent to either the left, right, or both ears. A GPIO port provides an open-collector-driven output indication of any active On-Air or talkback channel and (4) remote inputs gives an external call/alert to each of the talkback controls. Onboard line-up tone generator, On-Air lock control and flexible options round out the versatile featureset.
