Product Overview

The P808 from AMT is a bell-mounted, high SPL clip-on microphone made for trombone, low brass, and saxophones producing extreme SPL levels. Designed and manufactured by hand, it's distributed by Applied Microphone (AMT) in the USA.

Engineered to clip onto flanged bell instruments, the P808 system is intended for the player looking for an 'on the bell' mounting system, and is the choice for professionals playing at high SPL levels and looking for a bell-mounted microphone. It includes modern features like D.C.T. (Disconnect Cable Technology) with the ability to connect to the Wi5C (sold separately), creating a belt pack-free wireless system.

The P808 in its stock configuration (P808) is an ideal choice for the player that needs a hard wired (non-wireless) belt pack-style setup. The setup includes the BP45 belt pack preamps well as a hard shell case (not shown). Compatible with Wi5IIC Wireless, Shure & Sabine wireless (all sold separately) with provided cable.

The BP45 provides power for the microphone correctly with either phantom power or a single AA battery. It includes a low-cut filter and also includes an off button. The off button is ONLY activated when powering the system using the AA battery. It's equipped with a "transformer circuit" that's often useful and activated without the knowledge of the common player even knowing it's assisting in their performance. The specially-designed circuit helps control variances in PA systems where grounding problems, hums, and noises can appear depending on the quality of the system the mic is being plugged into.
