Replacement fan for the Marshall MG50DFX and MG100DFX guitar combo amps.
Some MG50DFX circuits have the polarity of the fan backwards. If the fan doesn’t work after installing it please reverse the red and black wires by cutting and splicing.

This fan's polarity is reversed for the MG50DFX. At least that was my experience. Plugged in fine to board and fit into place. HOWEVER, nothing happened when turned on power. (Read a blog that had a similar experience. Fit great but didn't work.) I cut the wires, tested +/- with a 9 volt battery and found It would work if rewired red to black and black to red. Fan worked fine then. Bought this one because it was supposed to be easy to plug into board as is. Not so for this part.

The polarity is wrong for Marshall MG50GFX. When I plugged in the fan as delivered - nothing happened. Maybe this fan works with the DFX amps in this configuration? I cut the wires, rewired red to black and black to red (oh my - sounds so wrong) just like my old failed fan plug polarity. Powered up and fan runs great. If I knew how to remove the wires from the pin plug and switch polarity without cutting I would have. Is there an item with correct polarity for the Marshall MG50GFX amp???

My fan did not work with my amp, unfortunately. Plugged in fine, fit fine, but wouldn't spin. Put my OEM back and it worked (but still making groaning noise). Not sure what the issue was but it was so inexpensive I didn't bother with complaining and just ordered a different one.
