The Westcott 7557 Flex™ 1' x 1' Bi-Color Travel Kit comes with two Wescott Flex 1' x 1' Bi-Color LED mats, Scrim Jim Cine 1' x 1' Frames, Flex Portable Batteries, and vital lighting modification accessories necessary for an exceptionally portable, high-output lighting setup. By joining lightweight Flex LED mats with modular framework and ultra-compact batteries, the Westcott Flex Travel Kits become essential lighting solutions for run-and-gun documentary filmmakers, cinematographers, and on-location photographers.
As the name suggests, Flex 1' x 1' Bi-Color LED mats are flexible, ultra-versatile lighting fixtures. Pliable and rainproof, these mats are also lightweight-weighing less than 1 pound each. But in spite of their compact form, Flex mats are highly durable and can emit up to 2000 lux at 1 meter outputs from high-end light emitting diodes. Flex Bi-Color mats are adjustable between 2800K and 6000K, and boast an impressive 95 to 98 CRI, giving true-to-life colors and skin tones to help minimize post-production editing. Durable touch fastener lines each Flex on both the front and rear of the mat for mounting.
The included Flex Portable Batteries let you power the Flex mats on-location. Lithium-ion 10.4Ah batteries weigh a mere 2.4 lbs. each and can power a Flex mat at full output for nearly 3 hours. Industry-standard D-Tap outlets, power indicators, and built-in stand mounts are all features of these portable power sources. These batteries also include an onboard USB port-great for on-set charging of smartphones and tablets.
Flex LED mats also perfectly match with the included Scrim Jim Cine 1' x 1' Frames. Constructed with anodized aluminum, these modular frames are highly durable, with heavy-duty touch fastener riveted to 2 sides of each tube, providing virtually effortless mounting of Flex mats as well as Flex Portable Softboxes. Two Flex Portable Softboxes and Full-Stop Diffusion panels are also included, giving quick light softening and directing. These softboxes are constructed with coat nylon and durable touch fastener, and collapse flat for travel.
A built-in 3/8-16 thread is designed into each Scrim Jim Cine frame tube, and allows quick attachment to the included universal studs, which then allows placement on the included Dual-Socket Magic Arms.
The Heavy-duty Dual-Socket Magic Arms are made with durable metal construction, dual female sockets, and integrated ball heads. They can be placed on any standard light stand or C-stand, which offers precise light placement. For even more added convenience, the included 16' waterproof extension cables let photographers and filmmakers place their light sources in hard-to-reach locations while still maintaining access to the Flex's sleek digital dimmers and batteries.
Finally, a heavy-duty, hard travel case gives worry-free travel and storage for the kit. It's a 20" case that features durable, smooth-rolling wheels, a water-tight seal, and custom-designed slots.
