Image Quality
At the heart of every ProScene productdesign is exceptional image quality. At every step, starting with theincredibly dependable, high resolution WUXGA DLP® chip, where the imagecreation is initiated, via its laser-phosphor light source, on through to theprecision optics focusing the image on-screen, image integrity and accuracyand integrity of the image are paramount.

ProScene selected DLP® technology due to its image quality and unmatcheddependability. The reflective nature of DLP® micro-mirror technology delivershighly efficient, bright images with great contrast while offering precisecolor accuracy and natural, real-world color reproduction. For demanding proapplications, DLP® technology's proven reliability makes it the obvious andbest choice.

  • Better than Full HD Resolution
Where detail really counts, its full WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution features 15% more pixels than 1080p and 60% more than SXGA+, enabling unscaled, Full HD video and added detail. Time code information can also be displayed onscreen simultaneously—great for video editing and/or soundtrack recording, where precise timing can be critical.
  • Precision Optics
optimum sharpness and focus uniformity over the entire image results from high-quality glass optical elements. The insistence on uncompromising optical quality delivered by ProScene ensures extremely low color flare and chromatic aberration to maintain a crystal clear, high contrast image.

Reliability
The ProScene line of projectors are alldesignedfor continuous 24/7 operation, as only the most reliable, industry proven components are used, ensuring superior dependability, with this hard-earned “capability” having been meticulously developed over a decade of design and support of millions of projectors worldwide. The filter-free, dust-sealed design prevents dust and dirt contamination from affecting the system, to ensure optimal image quality with maintenance kept at a minimum. Therefore, ProScene customers can rest assured that, as one of the most reliable projector brands in the market today, Optoma has a well deserved reputation for service excellence.

  • Constant Brightness
Various installation applications like control rooms, simulations, and museum exhibits do not necessarily need the full brightness of the ZU650. Lowering the brightness in this case can extend the laser-phosphor light source life span and “constant brightness” modes can be enabled to keep the brightness more consistent for longer without the need for costly lamp changes.
  • Enhanced color gamut
The laser-phosphor light source gives benefits like a sealed mercury-free optical design preventing dust from entering the unit, as well as minimal warm-up and cool-down time, plus long 20,000 hour light source operational life with minimal maintenance.
  • DLP® technology
Mentioned earlier, DLP® technology from Texas Instruments® is widely acclaimed and recognized for unmatched dependability and long lasting image performance. Combined with high brightness and native contrast ratios, it becomes the clear and obvious choice for demanding usages. Independent testing has shown the DLP® as the most reliable of projector technologies. While other technologies may show declining image quality after only a few thousand hours, DLP® technology's image quality can remain consistent over hundreds of thousands of hours.

Flexibility

  • Installation flexibility
Helping to meet the seemingly endless challenges of ProAV installations, the ZU650 has 5 lens options with motorized zoom and focus, ensuring that you can get the image size you need. Motorized lens shift helps to make sure your the image exactly where you want it.
  • Motorized lens shift
Lens shift percentage is dependent on lens, see user manual for details.
  • 360° and portrait projection capability
Project images over a full 360° range along the vertical axis, including on a ceiling or floor. The projector can also be situated in portrait mode for use as digital signage or for tall, thin projection areas.
  • Quick start-up and shutdown
The ZU650 features rapid start-up and shutdown and quickly achieves full brightness. To maximize energy saving it also includes ‘pause projection’ functionality, where the light source can be fully shut off. And unlike conventional lamp-based projectors, the laser-phosphor light source needs minimal cool-down time.
  • ExtremeBlack
In situations where only absolute darkness will do, it has an Extreme Black mode providing total blackout. Great for scene changes during live performances where a mechanical shutter would traditionally be used.
  • Color matching
It comes with a color matching system, which then combined with accurate measurements can create seamless blends every time.
  • Edge blending controls
As no two projectors are completely identical, when performing complex, or even simple edge-blend projects using multiple projectors, it can be hard to achieve satisfactory results if the images don't match. The ZU650 employs the following features to ensure high quality and consistent results:
    • Brightness matching
The brightness of a projector will vary throughout its life. To correctly match multiple units, the ZU650 has multiple light source power options to achieve the correct matched brightness level.
    • HDBaseT
HDBaseT simplifies cabling requirements and reduces installation complexity, which saves time and lowers costs.
  • Projector security
Includes both a Kensington lock and security bar for enhanced theft prevention.
  • Custom ID colors
The ZU650 is available in standard black finish, however, if your project calls for customization at a higher level, it can be available in any color from the RAL color space system (consult your Sales Pro for more information).

Control

  • System integration control
You can monitor multiple ZU650 units over LAN as well as set up an email message alert in case errors occur or perhaps a light source fails or needs to be replaced, courtesy of Crestron RoomView, while the web browser interface and full support for Extron’s IP Link, AMX dynamic device discovery, and PJ-Link protocols allow almost every aspect of the ZU650 to be network controlled, to help keep you in charge, wherever you are. Control features encompass: global monitoring of all AV devices, track projector light source usage, event schedulingemail alerts and instant notifications - help desk requests, service reminders, device failure or theft.

  • Schedule event
RoomView Express makes it easy to schedule recurring or one-time events. You can save valuable light source life and ensure security inside the facility by setting RoomView to automatically power down at midnight throughout the week.
  • Selected view by rooms, attributes or contacts
With RoomView Express you get the ability to view more than 250 rooms from a single screen simultaneously. You can also customize RoomView to view by room name, location, and group.
