Edge Blending Explained
Some applications call for a brighter and higher resolution image than can be provided by a single projector alone, requiring a single image to be projected from multiple projectors. Unless done well, the image could show visible "bands" showing overlap of the projected images. Edge-blending technology takes care of this problem through elimination of the visible banding to produce a single bright, high resolution image across the projection surface. Edge blending an array of multiple projectors makes it possible to create very bright, very wide high-resolution projection displays. The HQView320 lets you precisely control multiple, edge-blended images quickly, easily, and seamlessly.

Keeping end-user applications in mind, the HQView320 is designed to let you expertly and seamlessly edge-blend multiple, curved images on all 4 sides using an unlimited number of projectors. You'll be able to precisely control edge-blended images and warp displays to fit virtually any projection surface – flat or curved (for more information, see the "Optoma Simple Guides" under the "Documentation" tab above).

Harnessing the potent capabilities of the Reon™ video processor from IDT running state-of-the-art HQV algorithms within expertly designed hardware and firmware from Calibre, Optoma's HQView320 is a high-performance yet compact image scaler with HDMI/DVI/Component/VGA inputs and HDMI/DVI output, to provide stunning image quality for Broadcast, professional, and corporate AV users.

This exceptional unit includes 4-sided soft edge blend for seamless multiple projector blending, and flexible geometry correction functions which can correct image shape and projector misalignment, via drag and drop of each image corner, via pin, barrel, rotation, or via keystone and rotation.

The HQView320 also supports full warp-mapping. Easy warp map creation is provided by an included flexible and intuitive PC application, or 3rd party generated warp maps can also be processed from automatic image alignment systems. This makes the HQView320 great for dual overlaid projector alignment in 3D projection systems.

Automatic Geometric Alignment
The HQView320 is Scalable Ready certified, which means that it can be used with Scalable Display Technologies products, providing automatic geometric alignment of displays. This camera-based, software-driven system automatically aligns displays with remarkable accuracy and speed, to even further simplify the setup of warping and blending of projects.
