Optoma's HQView530 HQV™ is a Universal HQV™ Scaler–Switcher/Scan Converter with Warp Mapping, Edge Blend & 3G-SDI In/Out and LCD display for fast easy set-up in the field.

Optoma, in partnership with Calibre, has co-produced special versions of Calibre's edge blending and warping products, optimizing them for use with Optoma's ProScene line of projectors. This unique partnership has brought about a reduction in complexity and setup time for edge blending of multiple ProScene projectors, and is covered by Optoma's industry-leading ProScene technical support services if you should need assistance with your edge blending needs.

Edge Blending Explained
Some applications may require a brighter and higher resolution image than can be provided by a single projector. When this situation arises and more than one projector is needed for projection of single images, unless done well, the image displayed can often include visible "bands", showing overlap of the projected images, and interfering with image clarity. Edge-blending technology  is the solution to this problem, eliminating the visible banding, and producing a single bright, high resolution image across the projection surface, using multiple projectors. The HQView530 gives you precise control of multiple, edge-blended images quickly, easily, and seamlessly.

Mindful of end-user applications, the HQView530 is made to let you expertly and seamlessly edge-blend multiple, curved images on all 4 image edges using an unlimited number of projectors, offering precise control of edge-blended images and warp displays to fit practically any projection surface – flat or curved (for more information, see the "Optoma Simple Guides" under the "Documentation" tab above).

Harnessing the power of the IDT Reon™ video processor running state-of-the-art HQV algorithms within skillfully designed hardware and firmware from Calibre, the HQView530 is a high-performance yet compact image scaler featuring HDMI/DVI/Component/VGA inputs and HDMI/DVI output, all offering exceptional image quality for Broadcast, professional, plus corporate AV users.

This exceptional unit includes 4-sided soft edge blend for seamless multiple projector image blending, and flexible geometry correction functions which can rectify image shape and projector misalignment using drag and drop of each image corner, using pin, rotation, barrel, or using keystone and rotation.

The HQView530 also features full warp-mapping capability, with this capability brought in by an included flexible and intuitive PC application. In addition, 3rd party generated warp maps can also be processed from automatic image alignment systems, making the HQView530 great for dual overlaid projector alignment in 3D projection systems.

This extraordinary unit comes with 3G-SDI in and out connectivity plus backwards compatibility with SDSDI and HDSDI. A Genlock input is also provided for studio/staging, and in-camera use, along with support for bi or tri-level sync, as well as black & burst.

Automatic Geometric Alignment
Scalable Ready certified, the HQView530 can be used with Scalable Display Technologies products for automatic geometric display alignment. This software-driven, camera-based system auto-aligns displays with remarkable speed and accuracy, even further simplifying setup of the blending and warping of projects.
