The AKG DHT800 reference digital wireless handheld transmitter is used with the DMS800 digital wireless microphone system, and features a robust and slim metal body for durability and easy handling. The transmitter offers a new level of flexibility for theater, conference, live production and tour-sound applications, with interchangeable microphone heads. Users can choose from among the AKG D5 WL1, D7 WL1 or the C5 WL1.

The DHT800 provides an ultra-wide bandwidth of 150MHz and a selectable radio output power of 10-50mW (depending on frequency band). A built-in helix antenna provides reliable wireless audio transmission, while state-of-the-art 512-bit encryption technology secures the audio signal against tapping. For additional flexibility, the mute switch can be set to operate as the power switch.

Beginning in 2017, these frequencies are being transitioned by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to the 600 MHz service to meet increasing demand for wireless broadband services. Users of this device must cease operating on these frequencies no later than July 13, 2020. In addition, users of this device may be required to cease operations earlier than that date if their operations could cause harmful interference to a 600 MHz service licensee’s wireless operations on these frequencies.
