It was very easy to install with a controlled temperature welding pen.

Great product - good way to extend the life of my phones (headband had cracked) w/o buying a new pair. You need a soldering iron & a bit of solder to install. I took photos of the process/will post a tutorial & update this review when I do. In short you'll use a small electronics screwdriver to take each earcup apart, use a hot soldering iron to melt the solder connecting the headphone wires to the board, then solder new wires to the board & put it all back together. Doable even for a novice.

Easy fix instead of replacing the whole headphone set! I was able to remove the old headband and install the new one in about 20 minutes with a soldering iron and a precision screwdriver set. Headphones work fine again!

So, soldering is required?
Product came as expected, and was easy enough to install. Only problems were 1) lack of documentation, and 2) damage to the small cable on one side. I added shrink wrap around it to keep it from getting worse. Seems like it was crimped by headband moving around in shipping. Packaging should be improved.

It was relatively straightforward to swap out the band. The new one is solid.
