Roland Professional A/V M48-PM8 Personal Monitor Mixing System Bundle for 8 Users, MADI

The Roland M48-PM8 system enables the connection of eight M48 Personal Mixers to any MADI-based digital console. Connect one of the M-48's directly to the S-MADI and use as the Engineer's Monitor that instantly clones any selected M-48 on stage. Control setup and confirmation via Windows or Mac-based software. Package consists of eight (8) M-48 Personal Mixers, an S-4000D Splitter and Power Distributor, and the S-MADI REAC MADI Bridge.

S-MADI REAC Bridge The S-MADI REAC Bridge is a bi-directional signal converter between REAC and MADI. This bridge enables connectivity between MADI-equipped digital audio mixers/systems to any REAC-based devices such as the popular M-48 Personal Mixing System, Digital Snakes, V-Mixer Consoles, and Multi-channel Live Recording.

Bridging REAC with MAD: IS-MADI is bi-directional format converter between REAC and MADI. Up to 40x40 channels of digital audio transmission is possible between MADI equipment and REAC products such as the Digital Snake series, V-Mixers, and M-48 Live Personal Mixers. Both BNC and Optical I/O ports are included along with support for 56/64Ch mode. Clock source can be selected from REAC, MADI or Word Clock.

REAC Split Out: The REAC Split Out port provides audio signal from REAC or MADI enabling a separate monitoring or recording audio signal from the main stream. The Split Out supports REAC Embedded Power which supplies both the audio stream as well as power to a M-48 Live Personal Mixer or S-0808 Digital Snake.

Remote Control: A connected Digital Snake can be controlled using the S-4000R Remote Controller. Using the S-4000RCS dedicated software also enables control of Digital Snake and M-48 Personal Mixing setup and monitoring parameters.

REAC Technology: The REAC (Roland Ethernet Audio Communication) protocol is an industry proven, low latency, high quality 24-bit/96 kHz audio transport protocol used by the S-1608 and S-0816. The REAC protocol allows the Digital Snake's signal to be "split" to as many positions as required such as monitor, broadcast and recording splits using th S-4000-SP or any standard gigabit Ethernet switch.

M-48 Live Personal Mixer

The M-48 is the next generation live personal mixer that offers musicians the flexibly to control exactly what they want to listen to during their performances. It provides the highest level of sound monitoring quality for both headphones and IEMs (In-Ear Monitors) as well as for wedge and powered monitors. The Aux Input allows a metronome or other device to be mixed into the primary sound.

Convenient Connectivity: Roland's "REAC Embedded Power" (via the S-4000D) transfers both power and 40 channels of audio to the M-48 via a single CAT5e cable, dramatically simplifying wiring and stage layouts. Mini jack and 1/4" phone jack headphone outputs are provided. Balanced TRS line outputs support wedge or other types of powered monitors. An independent stereo output mini jack enables recording with superb sound quality.

S-4000D Splitter and Power Distributor

“REAC Embedded Power” is unique Roland technology that enables the transfer of not only the digital audio signal but also the power required by the connected device - all via one CAT5e cable.The S-4000D Splitter and Power Distributor is equipped with 10 REAC ports including 8 ports of REAC Embedded Power. The S-4000D can automatically detect and distinguish a product not supporting REAC Embedded Power. In this case, power is not provided allowing the S-4000D to also function as a standard splitter when required.
