KRK R6G3 6" 2-Way Passive Studio Monitor

The KRK R6 is a 6" 2-way passive studio monitor that carries the same design features of KRK's Rokit studio monitor series.

The R6 features curved surfaces for a more clear and uncolored sound. Traditional rectangular speakers suffer from diffraction as sounds leaving the edge of the cabinet are reflected back into the sound field causing phase distortion. The R6 virtually eliminates diffraction and provides a wider sweet spot because of its curved surfaces.

The R6 also features a front-firing bass port rather than the traditional rear-firing bass port found on most studio monitors. With rear-firing ports, low frequencies tend to couple with walls and corners, which amplifies low frequency information, which can cause unwanted coloration of a mix. With the front-firing ports of the R6, port turbulence is reduced and low frequency coupling is minimized.

KRK's recessed tweeter and design of dome and waveguide geometry coupled to the curved front baffle are optimized for on- and off-axis linearity resulting in excellent imaging and a wider sweet spot.
