The ETA Systems ETA-PD8A was made to be flexible with features that enable it to be used in a range of applications. You can use solely to protect against voltage surges or for AC distribution. Its AC power conditioning may eliminate or reduce inconvenient fuzzy video or frequent static pop occurrences. This useful device has noise filtering for unwanted Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) commonly introduced into AC lines by nearby radio transmitters or wireless products, while its EMI filters also help reduce noise from Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) generated by items like switching power supplies and electric motors.

One of the main reasons for equipment failure is unstable AC Mains voltage. Spikes of immense energy can be injected into the power system with amperage peaks of 3000A or voltages reaching as high as 6kV. These spikes are very quick and usually last for only a very short time period, but the ETA-PD8A's circuitry response is likewise very fast, rapidly suppressing these unwanted energy spikes.
