The Fujinon HK3.1X14.5 is a 14.5-45mm T2.0 zoom lens that is designed to work with 35mm PL Mount cameras.

This is not a Prime. It is much more than a variable prime. It is the most advanced Wide-Angle zoom they have ever built. Most wide zooms are lightweight, designed for portability, handheld or stabilized rigs. Fujinon’s Premier 14.5-45mm covers unlimited focal lengths in a range where primes previously were the rule. This lens works like a high-end Prime when dealing with distortion, chromatic aberration, and all the tough challenges of wide angle lens design. MTF and resolution is stellar from the center to the corners, without shading or fall-off. This is the most expensive, yet most compact of the four Premiers.

The 14.5-45mm is designed for wide angle 4K+ landscapes, beauty shots, distortion-free Green screen, motion control, and for beautiful Plates. Images that previously were usually trusted only to aprime. Using a zoom in these situations requires fewer lens changes and saves production time, without compromise to quality and matching. This Fujinon Premier PL 4K+ zoom has a 5.35" (136mm) front diameter and a focus barrel rotation of 280°.

It has long been desired to improve upon the optical characteristics and performance of lenses to meet the quality of today’s cine cameras. FUJIFILM engineers exhaustively developed the 4K+ PL mount HK Premier Zoom series utilizing their expertise and knowledge gained from the lens design process honed over many years. The zoom mechanism suppresses aberration change from the WIDE side to TELE end by adopting our exclusive floating method. In addition, the contrast performance is rich, the resolution - superb. The net results are lenses with excellent overall balance. The HK Premier zoom lenses are consistent at every focal length; object distance and T stop combination.
