Auralex's 2SF24BUR is a burgundy 2" x 2 ft x 4 ft Studiofoam Wedge for sound absoprtion.

The most economical option for mid-high frequency absorption, the thicker the treatment the more mid-low frequency control you gain; a GREAT stock item. Keep in mind – these panels help improve sound quality, they do not isolate sound.

Perfect for those environments that demand good sound control, but where complete acoustic absorption isn't required or desired. 1" Studiofoam Wedges work most effectively on mid and high frequency sound waves and may be used to acoustically treat walls or, most commonly ceilings (especially if they aren't parallel to the floor), even when the walls are treated with thicker acoustic Studiofoam. 1" acoustic Studiofoam Wedge absorbs as well as some competing 2" products.

The two most commonly-used sound absorption materials are high-quality acoustic foam and specialized acoustic fiberglass.

Acoustic sound absorption foam is well-suited to alleviate slap and flutter echo, the two most common problems in rooms not specifically designed for music recording and performance. In fact, foam can turn even the most cavernous warehouse or gymnasium into a suitable acoustic environment.
