Product Overview

A versatile studio performer that can be used with confidence in a wide range of professional miking applications, the AT4053b features direct-coupled balanced outputs that deliver clean signals in high-output conditions. This ensures that it's totally free of the distortion associated with conventional transformer-coupled outputs. It also provides a fast transient response that contributes to the open, transparent audio reproduction of even the most difficult-to-capture instruments. This microphone is fully RoHS-compliant - free from all substances specified within the EU directive on the reduction of hazardous substances (RoHS).

It's made up of 2 modular subassemblies: the AT4900b-48 body and the AT4053b-EL hypercardioid head capsule (both available separately). Further, additional interchangeable capsules are also available: omnidirectional — AT4049b-EL, and cardioid — AT4051b-EL (both sold separately as well).
