Chandler LTD2-MONO-COMPRESSOR Compressor, Single Channel, Hand-Wired, *Power Supply NOT Included

The Chandler Limited LTD-2 is a hand-wired 2254/2264/33609 that has been handmade using parts and build techniques from the original manufacture of the modules. Grounding, wiring techniques, original transformers, transistors, and much more attribute to the special sound of these units and have been painstakingly recreated in each LTD-2.

The LTD-2 uses the control circuit from the family of compressors, but retains the Class A amps and transformers from the 2254 modules. We add a six position attack switch which none of the vintage types had, and speed up the release times, which makes the units much more versatile. Warm and creamy and valuable in many situations.

• Stereo Link: Link for stereo or even surround sound. Uses an external cable.
• Gain Reduction Meter
• Compress Bypass: Not a hard bypass - this leaves the Class A amp in circuit for color
• Gain Make Up: 0 to 20dB of gain make up. This control can be special ordered with 1dB steps for mastering and stereo mixing.
• Threshold: -20 to 10dB threshold points
• Attack: Six position attack. 50, 500us, 10, 50, 75, 100ms. Vintage models were preset at 500us. Our unit is able to go faster and much slower giving a greater control of the sound and being usable in many more situations, including mastering and stereo buss work.
• Release: Six position release. 50, 100, 200, 300, 400ms and the classic Auto. On vintage units 400ms was the fastest setting. This version is much faster and more versatile yet retains the classic tone.
