Microtech Gefell's M21 hypercardioid capsule is designed for use with their SMS 2000 condenser studio microphone system. The M21 pressure gradient transducer with the hypercardioid polar pattern causes a strong "focusing" of sound in the front half-space and a suppression of crosstalk. Recommended for applications requiring special protection of front-impinging sound against surrounding noise.
