I put these woofers into my now over 12 year old reliable original HR824 monitors that had blown woofers due to storing them in cold weather and then using them when too brittle. Aside from the slightly protruding fit from the plastic gasket these look almost identical to the original woofers in construction. I simply pried the plastic gasket off and mounted them as they fit, and the speakers sound great again, thankfully useable. A more customized gasket could make a perfect fit.

I got 2 of these to replace the (Vifa) woofers from the HR824's that I got in 1998 & have been re-coned once or twice over the years, despite the notice that they won't work (fit) in the older model cabinets. Full Compass is correct; as delivered, they don't. The flange is too thick with the hard plastic 'gasket' glued to the back side. Prying it off & trimming ~1/16" off the outside & ~3/16" off the inside diameters, & gluing it to the front side of the flange, they fit, & sound fine. Thanks!
