The capsule is shock-mounted within a machined brass ring and is completely isolated from the mic body and electronics. The result is a clean open-air sound with exceptional detail.

The SCX25-A has a wide cardioid polar pattern that allows the engineer to blend the sound of the instrument or vocal with the sound of the room. The mic has consistent response to on and off-axis signals and exhibits minimal proximity effect with outstanding phase coherence.
