This adapter works as advertised keeps the signal to noise ratio in good shape. One thing to keep in mind is that if you have a "red dot" mic (where it was common practice to flip phase on pins 2/3 to work with Nagra tape recorders) you will need to create a cable to flip phase back on pins 2 and 3 in order to use this adapter. The friendly engineer at PSC passed along this information to me. Now it works great with my Sennheiser 416 T F (red dot).
