Audio-Technica AT8410a Microphone Shock Mount

The AT8410a is a Microphone Stand Shock-Mount Adapter from Audio-Technica. It's compatible with ⅝"-27 threaded mic stands, and works great with a long list of A-T microphones (see partial list below), isolating your mic from vibrations that can travel up the stand and later appear as various strange, unwanted noises or low-end rumbling on your tracks.

It's designed to enable easy microphone insertion and removal without detaching the mic cable, while its spring-loaded clamp securely holds even heavily-tapered microphones.
