Nice low-profile plugs. Moderately easy to wire provided you have a good soldering setup and appropriate tools. If you're looking to add heat shrink as strain relief you will need 3/8" 2:1 heat shrink tubing in order for the tubing to fit inside the plug barrel hole once installed. My only complaint is that the crimp ears used to secure to the attachment to the cable are too short. They didn't come close to making it around the cable diameter in my case, using Canare L4E6S cable.

These Switchcraft plugs are not comparable to the 280-290 series. The barrel is not part of the shell, the way it is on those, which means I expect them to fail down the road sometime. The others of the higher series I use have lasted 30-40 years, with no sign of imminent failure.
