Susan Lipp, President of Full Compass, Appointed to Wisconsin Task Force on Arts & Creativity in Education

Middleton, WI – Susan Lipp, President of Full Compass Systems, was recently appointed to the Wisconsin Task Force on Arts and Creativity in Education by Co-Chairs Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton and State Superintendent Elizabeth Burmaster. This task force was created to ensure Wisconsin the creative strength it needs to compete in a 21st century global economy by cultivating and promoting arts education in schools. Susan has been involved in many youth art and music education initiatives, making her a prime candidate for the position.

The Wisconsin Task Force on Arts and Creativity in Education is an unprecedented collaboration between the State's business, arts and education communities. A broad cross-section of individuals from each discipline was selected to represent their area of expertise as it relates to arts education. The task force will also accept expert testimony from other community leaders in public forums held throughout the state. The ultimate goal is to improve accessibility of creative education programs, providing a balanced curriculum that is vital to the success of students in the state and nation.

Major topics of discussion for the task force include examination of state-level policies and local practices to determine their impact on arts education, and the research and develop new initiatives to keep arts education prevalent in schools. In addition, the task force will identify state and local agencies, business, and other organizations that can provide leadership and resources in support of arts-focused education, creativity and innovation for young people.

Susan is greatly honored to accept this position and is looking forward to participating in a high-level role to promote fine arts education throughout the state.
