Full Compass Systems Sponsors Madison's 7th Annual Opera in the Park

Madison, WI – 2008 marked the 7th annual Opera in the Park for the city of Madison. This free annual event presented by the BerbeeWalsh Foundation is a grand celebration of music featuring familiar opera hits and musical highlights from the upcoming Madison Opera season. Opera in the Park is located at Garner Park on Madison's west side and provides an accessible and inviting event for everyone from first-time opera goers to long-time opera enthusiasts.

Highlights of 2008's Opera in the Park included selections from Madison Opera's productions of Puccini's Madama Butterfly, Mozart's Cosi fan tutte, and Gounod's Faust, as well as hits from operetta and Broadway. The 50-piece Madison Symphony Orchestra and 50-voice Madison Opera Chorus accompanied performances by guest soloists Melody Moore, Kendall Gladen, Bryan Hymel, and Luis Ledesma under the direction of Maestro John DeMain. The Wisconsin State Journal recalls Opera in the Park as "one gorgeous, near perfect mid-summer evening, lounging for a few hours on the expansive lawn at Garner Park with several thousand friends... and music, really good music played and sung very well indeed."

Full Compass has been involved with Opera in the Park since it's inception in 2001. In addition to contributing financially to keep the event strong, they also donate equipment and many hours of their time to perfect the awe-inspiring sound and romantic atmosphere that Opera in the Park is known for. It is a truly spectacular and magical event for all ages to enjoy.
